PENIEL Solicitors & Advocates began its journey in 1997 as Mohammed, Atteh & Company. Recognized as one of the 100 leading law firms in Nigeria, we were established by Mohammed Aliyu and Femi Atteh (SAN) to provide premier legal counsel to financial institutions.
Our foundation was built on the combined expertise of our founders: Mohammed’s deep experience as an in-house solicitor in the banking sector, and Femi’s formidable track record in Corporate Litigation, Regulatory Compliance, and Insolvency.
In 2007, we reorganized and repositioned for a global future, adopting the name PENIEL. While our name changed, our guiding philosophy—"Value for the Client"—remains our north star, anchored by integrity, hard work, and continuous knowledge improvement.
